Confirmed: UFC 131 Prelims Will Also Air Live On YouTube

Earlier in the week we reported that all the UFC 131 preliminary bouts would be airing live via a combination of Spike TV and Facebook at the weekend, but there will now also be one additional way to watch them.

The UFC confirmed today that the first five prelims will air live for the first time on YouTube via the UFC’s official page on Saturday night in addition to simultaneously streaming on Facebook.

The promotion hope that the move will ensure that the broadest spectrum of fans have access to the bouts, which include the likes of Krzystof Soszynksi, Joey Beltran and Michihiro Omigawa.

This latest offering is just another indication of the UFC’s forward thinking approach to using the internet and social media which has marked them out as an innovator in the sporting world.
