Conor McGregor demolished Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds tonight at UFC 246, landing everything from shoulder strikes to a head kick on his way to a stunningly swift victory.

Round One:

The eagerly awaited main event is underway in Las Vegas.

McGregor instantly goes for a big punch as Cerrone looks to clinch up. McGregor working shoulder strikes from this position in the center of the Octagon.

Remarkably one of those powerful shoulder strikes appears to have busted up Cerrone’s nose and he’s also getting a quickly swollen eye for good measure.

McGregor then lands a head kick and attempts a flying knee followed by big punches that appears to wobble Cerrone, with more clubbing blows sending him to the mat.

McGregor follows up with ground and pound and that’s it, 40 seconds into the fight ‘The Notorious’ earns a stunning TKO victory.

It’s a much needed win in impressively dominant fashion and puts McGregor in the perfect position to call for whatever fight he wants, although Dana White indicated earlier this week that he was targeting a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title.
