Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos Demolishes Hiroko Yamanaka In Quick Fashion

Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos made short work of Hiroko Yamanaka at Strikeforce: Melendez Vs Masvidal tonight to defend her title once again with ease.

In her usual fashion Santos came out aggresively from the bell and had Yamanaka on the floor almost immediately after a flurry of punches.

She followed the Japanese fighter to the floor with more right hands before attempting a choke, but Yamanaka got back to her feet.

Cyborg then simply ploughed forward with more blows, landing hard with a left that sends Yamanaka reeling back against the cage followed by another punch that crumples her back down to the mat once again.

The referee has seen enough and calls a halt to the contest with just 16 seconds on the clock, handing the Brazilian a KO victory.

Short of a fight with the 145lb division’s other dominant fighter Ronda Rousey it’s hard to see any further challenges for Cyborg in this weight class and it may well be that a move down to the 135lb class currently ran by Meisha Tate will be in order before long.
