Dan Hardy may have lost his third fight in a row at the weekend after being outgrappled by Anthony Johnson, but UFC president Dana White indicated after the event that there would still be a place for the Brit on the UFC roster.

With that in mind Hardy seems more than ready to get back into the Octagon ASAP.

“I want to fight again. I feel like Ive been robbed of the reward at the end of training camp,” Hardy wrote on his Twitter account on Monday.

It also appears he’s got someone in mind for his next fight, and despite this being a must win, he’s not looking to make life easy for himself.

“An oldschool shootout with a guy that wants to throw down. Screw the rankings, records are for DJs. Win in a blaze of glory or go out on my shield. Someone like Mr Lytle…”

A fight with Chris Lytle, who’s well known for his love of the stand-up battle, would certainly be an exciting fight, but it’d also be a challenging one.

Despite a shock loss to Brian Ebersole in February, Lytle is still a tough, seasoned veteran who had built up a four fight winning streak prior to that.

So far there’s been no comment from either Lytle or Dana White about the likelihood of this becoming a reality.
