The new ‘UFC Tonight’ show launched this week on Fuel TV and Dana White was on-board to discuss potential dates for two of the most talked about fights of the coming year.

First up is the heavyweight title showdown between current champion Junior Dos Santos and the newly installed No.1 contender Alistair Overeem.

“Junior dos Santos could fight Alistair Overeem, hopefully in the summer,” White revealed. “Alistair wants to take some time off. Dos Santos is ready but needs to get some training in. This summer is probably when it’s going to go down.”

Meanwhile, despite Chael Sonnen’s recent statements that his nemesis Anderson Silva won’t fight him and that he’s now targeted GSP and Jon Jones as potential opponents, White confirmed that if the outspoken middleweight contender can get past Mark Munoz at UFC On FOX 2 later this month that he will get a rematch with the champion, but he’ll have to travel to his backyard to do it.

“If we can get Chael Sonnen versus Anderson Silva, that will probably be held in Brazil in a stadium,” White stated. “Everyone in the world will want to watch that.”

So it appears that Sonnen’s continual below-the-belt jokes at both the people of Brazil and it’s fighter’s expense over the past couple of years may yet come back to haunt him.

In a separate interview with TMZ this week White noted that Silva’s next fight will be June, and timing wise, barring unforseen circumstances, that would fit perfectly for this encounter.

It can’t be stressed enough that this is all hypothetical at this stage though as Munoz has every intention of blasting through Sonnen in order to put himself into title contention in 2012.
