Dana White Promises Sick Card For FOX Sports 1 Launch In August

Dana White has confirmed that Boston will be the landing spot for the UFC’s first ever event on the FOX Sports 1 channel in August and he’s also promised to deliver a strong card for it.

“We are FINALLY going back to the TD Garden on Aug. 17 for the launch of FOX Sports 1!! We are bringing a SICK card,” White stated on Twitter.

The event will form part of the launch night content for FOX’s new dedicated sports channel which is looking to establish itself as a genuine competitor to the current industry leader in the field, ESPN.

FOX Sports 1 is set to reach 90 million homes and will become the new place to be for a large portion of the UFC’s content with regular live events planned along with shows like ‘UFC Tonight’ and other subsidiary programming which until this point has generally been found on Fuel TV and FX.

‘UFC On FOX’ events will remain in place however and it’s still to be established whether ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reality show will stay on FX or move to the new channel.
