Dana White’s Contender Series 35 Results

The 35th installment of Dana White’s Contender Series last night produced three new UFC recruits.

They included co-main event winner Natan Levy, who was able to get the better of Shaheen Santana with his grappling in the first two rounds, and then took it one step further by rendering his opponent unconscious with an arm- triangle early in the third.

Joseph Lowry took a beating at the hands of Nikolas Motta, and to his credit fought through suffering a broken nose and being kicked clean in the head, but his toughness alone wasn’t enough and Motta would claim a clean sweep on the scorecards.

The final fighter on the five-fight card to secure a place in the UFC was Luana Pinheiro, who stunned Stephanie Frausto with a sudden explosion of strikes mid-way through the first round, catching her with a three-piece combo ending in a right hook that floored her, with follow-up strikes on the mat sealing a KO victory.
