Yesterday Rampage Jackson breathed new life into an ongoing war of words with Strikeforce’s King Mo by letting him know in no uncertain terms how much he was reveling in the former champion’s first loss against Rafael Feijao at the weekend.

So far King Mo has not retaliated, but in the mean time rising heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier, who fought on the undercard of the Strikeforce: Houston event, has stepped in to defend him.

“U got a short memory huh bruh. Catch ur head my n*gga. Real talk u been on the other side many times. With more to come.” – Daniel Cormier

Later Cormier also responded to a fan who called him out for using the ‘N’ word.

“I uderstand it was an emotional reaction I love mo. He’s my family and that was so out of line.

Cormier, a highly decorated wrestler and former olympic team captain is currently fast-tracking his way to prominence in MMA with a perfect 5-0 record to date, with three of those wins coming in the past month, winning both the XMMA and KOTC heavyweight titles along the way.

Though Rampage hasn’t responded directly to Cormier, he has since posted another message in response to those who have criticized him for his recent comments towards King Mo.

“4 everybody that is running there cock sucker right now mo talked sh*t about me after my last fight,so im talking sh*t about him, sogetalife”

So, there’s a whole lot of talking going on, but right now both King Mo and Rampage need to focus on getting their own careers back on track.  Rampage will get a chance to do just that when he takes on former champion Lyoto Machida at UFC 123 in November.
