Demetrious Johnson Out For 3 Months With Shoulder Injury

Last week Demetrious Johnson was forced to pull out of his latest title defense against John Moraga at the TUF 17 Finale due to a shoulder injury and his coach Matt Hume has now provided further details about the extent of the damage.

It turns out the flyweight champion suffered a torn labrum in training and that’ll keep him out of the Octagon for a minimum of 12 weeks.

The UFC have already replaced the title fight at the TUF finale with a new bantamweight headliner which pits Urijah Faber against Scott Jorgensen and presumably Johnson Vs Moraga will still take place later in the year.

Johnson is currently on a four fight unbeaten run since moving down to the flyweight division and had been looking to make the second successful defense of his UFC title.
