The pack has once again been shuffled for August’s 14th’s UFC On Versus 5 fight card due to injury.

The UK’s Paul Taylor had been earmarked to fight John Makdessi at the event, but the Canadian pulled out and Donald Cerrone was brought in as his replacement. Now Taylor has also succumbed to injury leaving the former WEC star without an opponent.

Don’t worry though, as it turns out the UFC have now drafted in Charles Oliviera to face Cerrone, making this one of the must-see fights on the card.

21 year-old Oliveira has been highlighted as one of the stars of the future at 155lbs and certainly looked impressive in his last bout at UFC On Versus 4 just a few weeks ago against Nik Lentz, though his performance was somewhat undermined by an illegal knee that would result in his victory being altered to a no-contest ruling.

7 years his elder, Cerrone has picked up where he left off in the WEC, expanding his unbeaten run to four fights after two solid wins in the UFC.

With both fighters falling into the ‘fun to watch’ category and also being well matched in terms of their striking, submissions and overall dynamic styles it’ll be intriguing to see who comes out on top and takes another step up the lightweight ladder in this encounter.
