Donald Cerrone Plans To Continue Wakeboarding Despite UFC’s Ban On Dangerous Activities

Given the amount of injuries that their fighters have been picking up lately the UFC has added a clause in fighter’s contracts to ban them from doing “dangerous activities”, but that’s not a rule that lightweight star Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone plans on abiding by.

In a new interview he talks about his ambition to become a professional wakeboarder, and says that while his current contract doesn’t include the stipulation, he’ll have to “sit down and talk to Dana [White]” about it the next time he’s up for renewal to see if he can get an exemption.

I can’t see White being particularly receptive to the idea, but with a 6-1 record in the UFC compiled in less than two years, Cerrone’s a potential title contender and as such is in a strong position heading into any such negotiations.
