Donald Cerrone Puts ‘Wild Man’ Antics On Hold After Climbing Accident

Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is known to have a passion for extreme sports, but after a rock climbing accident yesterday the UFC’s No.1 adrenaline junkie has decided it’s time to settle down and concentrate solely on his fighting career.

“I guess you need to dance with death.. Just so you know how Precious life is! @danawhite the wild man IS THROUGH. #tooclosetoday #9lives,” Cerrone wrote on Twitter.

“Fell about 40 ft had 3 of my four anchors blow out!”

When asked if his comments meant that he was now just going to focus on fighting, he replied, “YES.”

Nobody will be happier to hear this than Dana White who’s not a fan of fighters putting themselves at risk of injury outside of the cage.

If he sticks to his promise – and that’s a big ‘if’ – then it’s also good news for Cerrone as fighting is dangerous enough, never mind throwing the likes of bull riding, rock climbing, wakeboarding and dirt biking into the mix.

Cerrone’s next fight was also announced earlier this week. He’ll take on incoming Strikeforce veteran KJ Noons at UFC 160 on May 25th.
