Rumors are starting to come in thick and fast about potential bouts that could be on tap for UFC 130 which is expected to take place on May 28th in Las Vegas.

First off ESPN’s MMA Live show has posted on their twitter account that a rubber match between Frankie Edgar Vs Gray Maynard is a possibility for the event.

After the two lightweights fought to a draw in their title fight on January 1st at UFC 125 an immediate rematch was the only option, but with Edgar having suffered a fractured nose at the event and many of the forthcoming events already fully booked it looks like we’ll be waiting a full five months to bring this particular match-up to a  definitive conclusion.

Meanwhile the BETUS site are reporting that a heavyweight collision between Frank Mir And Roy Nelson could also feature on the card.

Nelson has been battling a contract dispute with former employer Square Ring recently which has kept him out of the octagon, so it’s likely that matter would have to have been resolved for this fight to take place.

The former TUF season 10 winner is coming off a loss to Junior Dos Santos back in August of 2010, while Mir KO’d Mirko Cro Cop in his last appearance at UFC 119 in September.

Meanwhile another heavyweight clash between Stefan Struve and Travis Browne is also believed to have been verbally agreed for UFC 130 according to MMAJunkie.
