Efrain Escudero’s Arm Is Not Broken, Remains Upbeat Despite Loss

Last night Efrain Escudero appeared in great pain after losing to Evan Dunham thanks to a nasty looking armbar.  The Mexican had tried in vain to resist tapping from the slick submission in the third round of their lightweight encounter, but after hanging on longer than he should have, he was left with no choice as his arm began to pop.

Escudero was immediately taken to hospital amid fears that he may have broken his arm.  Later though he posted on twitter (spelling mistakes forgiven considering the night he had just had!) that he had been given an  x-ray which showed that the damage was left severe than was initially feared.

“Hey guys out the hosiptal nothing broke lil mess up tendenes. I will be back soon now in hungry!! And expect and Evan vs Efrain 2!!!”

Despite losing for the first time in his professional career Escudero appears to still be in good spirits, as can be seen from another post on his twitter account earlier in the evening.

“Thanks people and fan from fairfex for ur comments I’m not puttin my head down at all i’m gonna come back stronger quote my words!!!!!!!!!”

It’s the right attitude to have.  Still just 23 years of age, the TUF winner gave a good account of himself in the fight and will no doubt have learned some valuable lessons in defeat.
