Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson was recently shown the exit door by the UFC and today it was announced that he’s now signed a deal with Titan Fighting Championships.

Johnson was released from the UFC after failing to make weight for his middleweight debut against Vitor Belfort. If it had been a one-time thing it wouldn’t have ended that way, but this was in fact the third time in his UFC career that he’d done the same thing, and this was the worst yet, coming in 16lbs overweight.

Nevertheless, ‘Rumble’ is a talented fighter with proven KO power and if he can keep his weight under control he’ll certainly be an asset to Titan FC where it’s been confirmed he’ll continue to fight at 185lbs.

May 25th is the date marked for his debut in the promotion, though so far there’s no word on who his opponent will be.

Titan FC are no strangers to picking up well known fighters who’ve been ejected from both the UFC and Strikeforce, having previously held shows headlined by the likes of Tim Sylvia, Bobby Lashley, Jens Pulver, Jamie Varner and Brett Rogers.
