Keen to show off their biggest signing to date, Strikeforce have struck a deal with CBS to show Fedor Emelianenko’s first fight versus the undefeated heavyweight striker Brett Rogers (10-0) on November 7th. Regularly touted as the No.1 p4p MMA fighter on the planet, the CBS deal affords Fedor the opportunity to showcase his skills in front of millions of viewers on primetime network television in the U.S. This clearly will be a big night for the Strikeforce organisation and it’s certain that Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker will be looking to deliver a strong card to support the main event. He has already confirmed that Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller will face Jake Shields on the night to decide the new Middleweight Champion after the current belt holder Cung Le informed Coker that he wished to vacate the title in order to pursue his latest movie role. Several of Strikeforce’s other major talents are expected to be announced for the event in the coming weeks.
