Former UFC fighter Dan Lauzon was rushed to hospital early on Thursday morning after being stabbed in the shoulder outside a pub in Bridgewater, Boston where he lives.

The 22 year-old was believed to have been in a brawl with a group of men in the parking lot of the establishment when the incident occurred.

Thankfully the injury was not life-threatening and after receiving a number of stitches he’s expected to make a full recovery.

Dan’s brother Joe, who is still contacted to the UFC, was not involved in the incident, but he also ended up with an injury after rolling on his ankle as he dashed out to his car to head to the hospital after being informed that his brother had been stabbed.

As a result Joe Lauzon will now miss a week’s training and has had to postpone a morale-boosting trip to visit U.S troops in Iraq.
