It’s already been established that the UFC’s first event on FOX will take place on Saturday, November 12th when two fights will air live during primetime hours, however it turns out that won’t be the first time the UFC graces the channel.

According to The Wrestling Observer, FOX are planning to air a one hour special on Sunday, October 30th following an NFL post-game show.

At this stage it’s not clear exactly what will be shown, but the assumption is that it will be a way for FOX to introduce their audience to the UFC, and more than likely promote their first event on the station which will come just a fortnight later.

While I’d still have liked the first ‘UFC On FOX’ event to be longer than just an hour, it’s good to see that they are making an effort to promote it properly, and along with this special we can expect to see advertisements for the event in the weeks leading up to it throughout the FOX network.

So far there’s no official word on who will be fighting on the first show, though names like Lyoto machida, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Ben Henderson have been linked to it.
