Make no mistake about it, in the lead up to the UFC’s first big event on FOX on November 12th the network is throwing their full weight behind the promotion.

Earlier this week it was announced that there will be a special ‘UFC Primetime’ show aired on October 30th to promote the event, and now that the headline title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos has been revealed they have also confirmed that from tomorrow they’ll begin broadcasting commercials for it on both their college football and baseball shows.

In addition during today’s conference call to announce the fight FOX Execs also revealed that they are planning a big party outside the Velasquez Vs Dos Santos event to celebrate the UFC’s arrival on the network.

“One thing we will be doing is launching the UFC on Fox with a Super Bowl style red carpet and tailgate party with every star in Hollywood, and every dignitary we need to get out there to launch this thing,” said FOX sports president Eric Shanks. “It will be a la Super Bowl tailgate and Super Bowl red carpet, with a huge party outside before the event.”

With that in mind it certainly backs up Dana White’s claim that, whether you have a ticket for the fight or not, Anaheim will be the place to be on November 12th.
