Despite his recent loss to Shane Carwin it appears that Frank Mir still has the appetite for top level competition.

In a new interview with MMA:30’s Dave Farra the former champion weighed up the merits of fighting current middleweight champion Anderson Silva if he should move up to heavyweight.

“I think there’s a lot of heavyweights who would probably turn that fight down because in their eyes it would be everything that they had to lose to a guy who’s smaller than them. I don’t really look at it that way. I look at as, man I get to go in there and exchange punches with one of the best strikers in the world, pound-for-pound, and try to get a hold of somebody who other people just can’t catch. He seems to be like the Michael Jordan of our sport. I’d love to go in their and fight him.”
