The UFC helped boost Fuel TV to it’s best month ever in terms of TV ratings for July the network announced today.
July was the most watched month ever for the channel and included it’s third most watched program ever courtesy of ‘UFC On Fuel TV 4’ which drew 211,000 viewers and peaked with an audience of 291,000.
Fuel also enjoyed three of it’s four most watched weeks ever, it’s second most viewed primetime and third most watched day.
“Throughout July, FUEL TV saw numerous shows put up all-time high ratings, including our news show ‘UFC Tonight,’ which has really found its audience,” Fuel TV’s general manager George Greenberg stated in a press release.
UFC programming has been at the forefront of Fuel TV’s schedule since their deal with FOX came into play at the start of the year, and it’s continuing to increase, with a record 460 hours of UFC programming in July alone.
The major goal in all this is to get other television providers to start covering Fuel TV which would drastically increase the number of homes the channel is available in from the relatively modest 36 million it currently reaches.
Until that happens the UFC has to live with the fact that they won’t be drawing as many eyeballs to their shows as they would have on a more established channel, but it all balances out in the end as they also have the opportunity to do live shows on the likes of FOX and FX too.
