FX Releases New Trailer For UFC 146 Prelim Show

Saturday night’s UFC 146 main card is only available on pay-per-view, but as has been the case with a number of the UFC’s big events since the turn of the year, four fights from the preliminary card will be free on the FX channel.

FX are currently promoing the live prelim show via the trailer below which is nice to see, though it doesn’t make any mention of who will be fighting on it.

That’s a little surprising given that there’s actually some fairly prominent UFC stars set to do battle on FX including Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller, Dan Hardy and Edson Barboza.

This will be an important show for both FX and the UFC as the ‘UFC Prelims On FX’ series has so far been one of the bright spots for them in terms of tv ratings, showing a steady incline over the proceeding months, peaking at 1.6 million for UFC 145.

That’s in sharp contrast to both the ‘UFC On FOX’ and ‘TUF: Live’ ratings which have both seen a sharp decline since the start of the current TV deal in January so they’ll be keen to ensure that the same fate does not befall the prelim shows too.
