GSP was in attendance last night at UFC On Versus 3, and though he has a big fight with Jake Shield’s coming up in just a couple of months time, the big question on everyone’s lips was how he feels about a potential superfight with Anderson Silva later this year.

His cagey answer suggest he’s not completely sold on the idea.

I don’t know, I need to sit down with my entourage and see first where this fight will take place and what weight, and a bunch of stuff. Right now I’m focusing just on Jake Shields, I don’t see further than Jake Shields,” he stated on the post-fight show on Versus.

When pressed further his next response sounded even more half-hearted about the prospect.

“I don’t know if I’m going to go up [to] 185lbs. I’ve no idea, it’s a complete reorientation of my career. I have a lot to lose and…I haven’t thought about it, I haven’t sit down to talk about it.”

  1. FOOLISH FOR GSP TO MOVE UP IN WEIGHT..AND HE IS TOO SMART TO BE PUSHED AROUND BY DW. GSP IS AT A HUGE DISADVANTAGE MOVING UP. SILVA IS MUCH BIGGER. DOESNT MAKE SENSE.

  2. Look GSP is nearly 200 pounds before he starts his weight cut, Anderson is not 230, he’s barely 225 before he starts his weight cut, GSP and Anderson would still have to cut weight and they’d be nearly the same weight a day after weigh-ins and GSP is kidding anyone saying he hasn’t thought about the biggest fight of career, he needs to stop stalling and take an actual challenge for once.
