In his pre-fight promo for UFC 137 welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre acknowledges that in Carlos Condit he’s going to be facing a very well rounded fighter who can provide a threat wherever the fight goes.
“I’m going to have to deal with a guy who has knockout power, very technical striker and a great ground game as well, unpredictable fighter,” GSP tells UFC.com.
Nevertheless he believes that he still remains the better fighter and has mapped out what he believes will be a winning strategy for the October 29th fight in Las Vegas.
“I’ve seen a lot of improvement in Carlos’ game but I believe I’m a more improved fighter than Carlos is. I have a game plan to take care of Carlos and I will execute it.”
Both St.Pierre an Condit both train under the Greg Jackson camp at times, but the Canadian insists that won’t interfere with him getting the job done on the night.
“He’s not my friend and I don’t put any emotion in but I believe I will have the key to victory. I do believe I will be able to knock him out or submit him.
“I will remain the welterweight champion.”
