A new feature from the UFC, ‘In The Moment – Jon Jones’ aired last night on Spike TV, and drew an average of 555,000 viewers figures released today show.

The half hour special took an intimate look at Jones personal life and his training camp as he prepares to fight for the UFC light-heavyweight title against Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.

On Tuesday the traditional ‘Countdown To UFC 128’ show, also premiering on Spike TV, drew just 406,000 viewers.

The increase in viewers indicates that people are interested in learning more about the 23 year-old who’s had a remarkably swift rise to the top of the sport over the past three years.

Earlier in the week UFC president Dana white had talked about being “proud” of the new ‘In The Moment’ show, and indicated that if successful it could return as a more regular feature.
