A well known UFC fighter could be set to make the switch from MMA to the pro-wrestling promotion WWE, or at least that’s the latest rumor to emerge from The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer this week.

“The management for a fairly major UFC name, and maybe one of the last people you’d expect, has sent feelers about going to WWE when his contract expires. It’s not someone who would be high on anyone’s list of stars you’d ever expect to do it, and my advice would not be to go in that direction since he’s got no experience at all with pro wrestling.”

It’s certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.  The likes of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have already made the switch the other way so it’s entirely possible that at some stage a fighter will look to go the other way.  In fact ‘Rampage’ Jackson recently made a guest appearance on WWE RAW as part of the promotion for the A-Team movie earlier in the year.

Who could it be though?

Truth be told you’re guess is as good as mine on this one.  The fact that the report states that it’s not somebody you would expect to do it seems to rule out the obvious choices like Rampage or Ortiz.

I’m curious to know who it is, but whoever they are I hope they rethink their plans as this sounds kind of cringeworthy to me.
