Today MMA fans have been buzzing with the news that Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit were heading towards an immediate rematch after Dana White posted on Twitter that Condit had verbally agreed to the bout, but it appears the UFC president may have spoken to soon.

Despite the fact that Condit’s manager Malki Kawa confirmed that to be the case, later in the day rumors started to emerge that an undisclosed issue within the Diaz camp would prevent the fight taking place.

Since then the fighter’s manager Cesar Gracie has confirmed that to be the case, simply stating “no” when asked by MMAjunkie if the rematch was on.

At this stage those in the know are keeping tight-lipped on the exact reason for this though.

According to Gracie, “everything will be out soon”, so hopefully we won’t be held in suspense for much longer, but in the mean time he posted a message on Twitter that only serves to raise more questions than answers about what’s really going on.

“@danawhite Nick would rematch in a heartbeat. No extra money needed. He is a true fighter and fights for his team and you fans,” Gracie wrote just minutes ago.

Stay tuned as from the sounds of things there’s still a few twists and turns to come on this developing story.
