Jacob Volkmann produced a solid victory at UFC 141 last night after comfortably outgrappling Efrain Escudero and then went on to diss both President Obama, UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and color commentator Joe Rogan.

It all began during Volkmann’s post-fight interview with Rogan when he fired off a warning to Edgar that he was now in his sights after claiming his fifth straight victory at 155lbs.

“Frankie [Edgar], work on your takedown defense. I’m coming and I’m taking you down,” Volkmann boldly stated.

Then he moved on to Barack Obama who he had jokingly stated he wanted to fight in a previous post-fight interview in January. His comments on that occasion were later featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and would result in him being paid a visit by the Secret Service.

Not learning his lesson the first time, Volkmann decided to take another pop at the president.

“Obama needs a glassectomy. Ask me what a glassectomy is, Joe,” Volkmann began.

“It’s where they remove the belly button and put a piece of glass in there so you can see what you’re doing while your head’s up your ass.”

Clearly this was Volkmann trying to conjure up his best Chael Sonnen-like quip, but truth be told it came off as hugely awkward and the crowd didn’t respond at all.

When asked about his comments at the post-fight presser Dana White said he thought it was “weird sh*t” and added, “apparently he must like having the government turning up at his door.”

Later in a post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani, Volkmann was still attempting to work the same angle, sporting a ‘Volkmann For President’ t-shirt.

He then proceeded to dig himself an even deeper hole by going on to blame Rogan, a famous comedian, for his failed joke.

“Well, I thought Joe Rogan would laugh a little more. He kind of ruined it for me. Yeah, he did. He ruined it. I wanted to punch him in the nuts.”

Rumors that the book, ‘How To Lose Friends And Piss Off People’, By Jacob Volkmann will come out sometime next year could not be confirmed at the time of writing.
