Less than two weeks away from the biggest fight of his career against Georges St.Pierre at UFC 129, Jake Shields is confident he has an ace up his sleeve that will allow him to sieze the UFC welterweight title.

“I think the wrestling is pretty much even…I think I have the superiority in the submission (game) over him though,” Shields tells MMACanada.net.

With that in mind Shields is confident he can get a finish inside the distance in this championship fight, even if it means doing so from his back.

“I think I’m going to submit him. I know he’s not easy to submit. But I’m going to be hunting for submissions from every angle. I think he’ll take me down. I think I’ll be on my back this fight, but I can fight off my back.”
