Despite an extremely disappointing performance in his defeat against Michael Bisping late last year it appears that the UFC have given Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller a second chance to prove himself.

Miller will now face former TUF season 7 finalist CB Dollaway at UFC 146 on May 26th.

Mayhem had given a good account of himself as a coach opposite Bisping on The Ultimate Fighter Season 14 reality show after returning to the UFC following a stint in the Strikeforce organization.

That good work was quickly undone however when after his eventual fight with the Brit UFC president Dana White stated that it was one of the worst he had ever seen in the promotion and placed the blame firmly on Miller, hinting that his future in the organization was now in doubt.

For his part Mayhem admitted that it was a sub-par display and vowed to return a better fighter if given the opportunity. He’s since spent time in Holland working on his striking skills, and no doubt he’ll also give in better prepared physically this time around too after having cardio issues last time out.

As for Dollaway, his long-term future in the UFC is also in doubt after back-to-back losses in 2011 so this has all the makings of a ‘loser-leaves-town’ match-up.
