The up and coming Titan Fighting Championships promotion have called on two well known MMA veterans to help lead the line at their 18th event on May 27th.
The ever popular Jens Pulver and former UFC slugger Drew McFedries were announced today as two of the stars on show, with the promise of more to come.
“Our first two events on HDNet were met with both praise from critics and fans alike. Titan Fighting 18 will be a continuation of our formula for Titan Fighting 16 and 17 with a mix of nationally recognized names and rising prospects,” Titan FC’s CEO Joe Kelly stated. “Pulver and McFedries will not be the only national headliners on this show as we are completing negotiations for two other high profile fights. In short, Titan Fighting 18 will be our deepest show in history.”
Pulver has had to dig deep in 2011 after falling to six consecutive losses in the years prior, and has done so successfully with two victories in a row, though the quality of opposition he was facing was less than stellar.
He’ll now take on Mike Powell at TFC 18 who’s amassed a 10-2 record fighting in regional promotions over the past three years.
McFedries took a year and a half out after leaving the UFC in 2009 before finally signing for Titan FC. He made his debut at TFC 16 at the start of the year and produced a third round TKO victory, taking his record to 9-6.
He has now been lined up with Darryl Cobb who holds a 5-2 record and will be keen to get back to winning ways after a loss broke his five fight winning streak last time out.
