If, like us, you’ve been disappointed by the Strikeforce: Miami scheduling which has left the intriguing fight between Joe Riggs and Jay Heiron as an un-aired prelim then you’ll no doubt be happy to hear that you can now watch the fight live on the net courtesy of EASports.

Strikeforce’s Mike Afromowitz confirmed the news to sherdog.com on Monday, stating that the fight should air for free on EASportsMMA.com at approximately 9PM ET / 6PM PT on Saturday evening.

“It’s definitely one of those fights that deserved to be aired somewhere, so we’re glad to get the opportunity to do this,” he told the site.

It’s a smart marketing move by EASports, who are set to launch their own game – EA MMA – based on the sport later in 2010.

Joe Riggs and Jay Heiron are just two of the playable fighters from the Strikeforce roster who feature in the game, which will go in direct competition to THQ’s ‘UFC Undisputed 2010’.

Veterans Riggs and Heiron had been pushed onto the undercard to make room for Strikeforce’s debut fighters Bobby Lashley and Herschel Walker, a move which was met with the disapproval of some fans.
