Johny Hendricks gave Jon Fitch a rude awakening in his return to the Octagon this evening at UFC 141.

With his first punch of the fight Hendricks blasted Fitch with an enormous left hand that pole-axed him.

Hendricks followed up with another left hand on the ground that rocked Fitch’s head back and the referee rushed in to call a halt to the fight with only 12 seconds on the clock.

Fitch quickly snapped back into conciousness but in his still dazed state tried to wrestle with the referee before realization hit that the fight was over.

This is a huge win for Hendricks against a man who had only ever been lost once before in the UFC and hadn’t been finished in nine years.

As a result he extends his current UFC winning streak to three fights and improves to 12-1 for his career overall.
