Since agreeing to a title fight in the UFC’s, former training partners Jon Jones and Rashad Evans relationship has been strained, yet they have been in the slightly uncomfortable position of still being looked after by the same company, ‘Authentic Sports Management’.

That’s all changed today however with the news that the management team is splitting, with Malki Kawa leaving to reform his previous ‘First Round’ company, while ‘Authentic’ will continue to be run by Glenn Robinson.

The move sees Jones following Kawa to First Round Management along with a number of other well known fighters such as Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves, while Evans will stay under Authentic Sports Management’s guidance along with the likes of Kenny Florian and Anthony Johnson.

Of course for the time being the Jones Vs Evans match-up has been put on the backburner due to the current 205lb champion requiring time out for an injury to heal, which has resulted in Evans taking a fight in the mean time with Phil Davis.
