‘UFC On Versus 1’ will feature a heavyweight clash between one of the division’s fastest rising talents Junior Dos Santos, and the always tough Gabe Gonzaga.

Speaking in a new video released by the UFC Dos Santos discusses his ground-skills, which so far have not been required in his previous four visits to the octagon.

“I’m very confident on my ground skills. I train with the Nogueira brothers who I consider to be two of the best jiu-jitsu practicioners in MMA. I’m very comfortable with my ground work, and if it does go to the ground I’m going to put on a great show, and put on a great fight. It might be this fight, it might be another fight, but some day you guys will see my Jiu-Jitsu skills.”.

Despite that, Dos Santos appears to be hoping that Gonzaga, who was supposed to fight him back at UFC 108 before getting injured, might have another plan for the fight.

“I’ve heard that Gonzaga wants to stand-up and exchange with me, so I don’t know if he wants to do that. If that’s his game-plan it might end in the first round.”

That’s a bold prediction, but considering that only one of his previous eleven fights have lasted beyond the opening round he might just have a point!
