Karo Parisyan Will Not Be Signing For Strikeforce

Last week we reported that former UFC fighter Karo Parisyan was in talks with Strikeforce about potentially fighting on their June 16th event in Los Angeles.  Today it emerged that though the two parties did have a discussion, he won’t be signing for the promotion.

“We had a cup of coffee,” Scott Coker tells MMAjunkie. “It didn’t work out. “He’s a great kid. We wish him luck.”

It is believed that they could not come to terms on a deal and so Parisyan will for the time being remain a free agent.

The 27 year-old has not fought since being released from the UFC last year after pulling out of a fight just days before it was scheduled to take place.  That was the latest in a series of incidents involving the troubled fighter who has admitted to having suffered from a pain-killer addiction and anxiety attacks in recent years.
