UFC Undisputed 2010 may be leading the charge in terms of offering up mixed martial arts content to the gaming world, but EA Sports: MMA is still waiting in the wings and is due for release sometime later this year.

Though the game is still in development a working version is up and running, and that gave MMAfighting’s Ariel Helwani the opportunity to challenge Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal along with his colleague Ben Fowlkes to a three-man tournament.

The results are caught on video which can be seen below, but Helwani also has a quick word with one of the game’s designers who confirms the game is still set for a release in later in the year and he reveals that there will be 60 playable characters with each designed to fight like they would in real-life.
