After failing to convince Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz to fight him at a catchweight it seems that Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller now has a different opponent to focus his attention on.

New reports suggest that Mayhem will fight Tim Kennedy a a yet to be announced Strikeforce event in March.

It will not be the first time the two middleweights will have locked horns however. In fact the two have met each other twice during their fighting careers, with Special Forces veteran Kennedy winning the first by decision at Extreme Challenge 50 in only his five professional fight back in 2003, and then Miller gaining revenge with a unanimous decision win four years later in 2007 at an HDNets Fights event.

Nowadays the two of the leading 185lb’ers in Strikeforce, with Miller having fought for the title towards the end of 2009, and Kennedy having fought for the vacant belt in the summer of last year.

Colombus is rumored to be the destination of the latest meeting between the two, and may also play host to a light-heavyweight title bout between Dan Henderson and Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante.
