In the latest in a series of video blogs leading up to his fight at UFC 127 with Jorge Rivera, Michael Bisping reveals a minor recurrence of a previous staph infection has been interfering with his training.
“I had to skip this morning’s training. Bit of a problem with my elbow, had to go and see the doctor, get a blood test done. Some of you might have seen a while ago on Twitter – I had a staph infection. It’s kind of flared up a little bit again. There’s not a lot to see, but it’s pissing me off a bit, it’s quite sore.”
Luckily for the Brit, who stars in the co-main event of the show in Sydney, Australia, it won’t stop him from fighting.
“It’s no biggie though, the fight’s still six weeks away so that ain’t going to be a problem come fight time.”
Meanwhile Bisping reveals that he’s just signed a new deal with clothing company Affliction, and he notes that former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez will be training with him at the Wolfslair gym soon.
