Hot of the heels of his win at the weekend Michael Bisping will head straight into another training camp as he is now slated to fight Demian Maia at ‘UFC On FOX 2’ on January 28th.
Bisping had been rumored to be on the card since Saturday night when UFC president Dana White had hinted that they were going to put a third big-name fight on the bill for their first FOX event of 2012.
The British fighter is currently one of the front-runners in the middleweight division after compiling a four-fight winning streak, including his most recent third round TKO win over fellow TUF 14 coach Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller.
Meanwhile, Maia has gone 3-1 at 185lbs since his unsuccessful title bid against current champion Anderson Silva.
Bisping Vs Maia will join a strong line-up that’s currently headlined by Rashad Evans Vs Phil Davis with Chael Sonnen Vs Mark Munoz occupying the co-main event spot.
Many of the big name stars from the event are set to attend a press conference in Chicago later today to officially announce the show.
