We’ll have to wait until Saturday night to see whether Michael Bisping or Chael Sonnen will emerge victorious in the Octagon at ‘UFC On FOX 2’, but in the pre-fight build-up there’s been a surprising winner in the verbal sparring contest.

Sonnen is considered the UFC’s premiere trash-talker – and he’s got his own weekly spot on the ‘UFC Tonight’ show on Fuel TV to prove it, but he’s surprisingly taken a back seat from his usual quick-fire quips since his hastily arranged fight with Bisping was arranged last week, while the Brit has been in rare form.

‘The Count’ had the best zinger on the initial fight announcement press release when he stated that Sonnen had, “been kicked out of politics, he has been kicked out of the real estate business, and I am going to kick him out of the middleweight division.”

Bisping has since upped the ante during an appearance on the latest edition of the Inside MMA show where he opted to go for the below the belt approach.

“He’s been submitted more times than I care to mention. Not to mention, the last time he lost a fight by submission, there were some issues involving performance enhancing drugs. I don’t know what the deal is. Apparently, he has one testicle. One testicle! This is why he uses performance enhancing drugs. He’s gonna need more than one little ball to fight me next weekend!”

Later in the show Bisping was asked whether he would agree to a challenge that the loser of the fight has to address the winner as “the greatest ever” from that point on.

“Yeah, let’s do it, I’m pretty confident, you know? And I’ll stand to that, unlike him who makes challenges then takes it away, who gives an ultimatum and then changes his mind. Yeah, fine, I’ll call you the greatest…IF you beat me, and that’s a pretty big if, one ball.”

So far Sonnen has been fairly courteous in his own references to Bisping, saying that he’s never joined the bandwagon of fans that dislike the outspoken TUF winner, but with there’s still a few days left and you just know he’s got a few remarks hidden up his sleeve.

In the mean time check out Bisping’s full segment on the Inside MMA show in the video below.
