Michihiro Omigawa Amongst Four More Fighters Released From The UFC

Following on from yesterday’s news that Charlie Brenneman had been released from the UFC, four other fighters have also now been shown the exit.

The biggest name amongst them is Japanese star Michihiro Omigawa who’s second spell with the promotion proved to be as unsuccessful as his first.

Despite arriving on a five fight win streak in promotions like Sengoku and DREAM, Omigawa produced a 1-4 record in the UFC, 1-6 if you include his original two-fight stint back in 2007-2008.

Joining him on the way out of the UFC will be three other fighters, Eiji Mitsuoka (0-2), Walel Watson (1-3) and Tommy Hayden (0-2).

It’s never nice to see fighters losing their job, but it’s hard to put up much of an argument against the UFC’s decision here and hopefully they’ll be able to find work elsewhere.
