The already impressive looking UFC 130 fight card on May 28th was given another boost today with the news that former bantamweight champion Miguel Torres has agreed to fight the UK’s Brad Pickett.

This is a good piece of matchmaking by the UFC, with Pickett’s tough, tenacious and scrappy style likely to bring out the fight in Torres who appeared a little cautious in his approach against Antonio Banuelos at UFC 126 last weekend.

Pickett, a former Cage Rage champion, impressed during his four fight stint in the WEC recently, going 3-1, defeating quality opponents like Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson and Ivan Menjivar along the way.

UFC 130 is set to be headlined by the lightweight title rematch between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard, with ‘Rampage’ Jackson Vs Matt Hamill and Frank Mir Vs Roy Nelson amongst the other big name match-ups set to light up Las Vegas.
