Mirko Cro Cop and Pat Barry put on a hugely enjoyable performance in the co-main event of the evening at UFC 115.

In the first round Barry looked to have the beating of his idol, dropping him twice with his right hand.  Later in the round there was a heart warming moment when, after a dangerous exchange against the fence, the two men broke into huge grins and hugged each other, showing the respect they have for each other.

Despite being beaten in the first round Cro Cop showed that he does have some fight left in him by coming on strong in the second round, and also showing his ground game to get back into the fight.

In the third round Barry, who had weighed in considerably heavier than normal, was beginning to tire, and Cro Cop took advantage, hurting him with a textbook flurry of punches before punishing him with strikes on the mat against the cage.

Barry was in survival mode and was caught out as Cro Cop suddenly latched on a fight ending rear naked choke.

Both men gave their all in the fight and showed tremendous sportsmanship throughout.  Barry showed he has power in his punches as well as his kicks, and Cro Cop showed that he may indeed have overcome the mental block that has haunted him in the octagon
