Fears that UFC 119 headline star Mirko Cro Cop may not be able to fight on Saturday night due to an eye injury suffered in training now appear to be fading.

The Croatian traveled to the U.S for the fight at the weekend and has since had an check-up by an commission approved physician, and according to Sherdog.com has been initially cleared to fight.

The 34 year-old will still have to pass through a further pre-fight medical later in the week, but Indiana State Athletic Commissions Director Andy Means stated that, “all indications are this is a non-issue.”

UFC president Dana White also revealed on twitter that Cro Cop, “is 100%” and has in fact seen three different doctors since getting injured by an eye-poke during his final training session on Friday.
