When Mirko Cro Cop was KO’d by up and comer Brendan Schaub at UFC 128 in March even UFC president Dana White admitted that this was more than likely the last time we’d see the Croatian legend competing in the Octagon, but it seems that a few months there’s been a change of heart.

White confirmed to the media yesterday that he will be honoring the final fight on Cro Cop’s contract, though it seems he’s not overly enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing the 36 year-old step into the Octagon again.

“I owe him another fight,” White said. “Do I think he should have retired? Yeah.”

So, it appears that it’s Cro Cop who’s pushed for this to happen, and White has given him the green-light.

“He’s a man; he’s a grown man. If he wants to continue to fight, that’s his right.”

Watch White talk about the situation with the media at the UFC 130 pre-fight press conference below.
