Nate Diaz is all set to sign a new four fight deal with the UFC his manager Cesar Gracie tells MMAJunkie.com.
Diaz, who won season five of The Ultimate Fighter has posted a record of 7-3 in the UFC since June of 2007, picking up three ‘Fight Of The Night’ and two ‘Submission Of The Night’ awards along the way.
He recently looked reinvigorated in a move up from the lightweight division for a fight with Rory Markham. The bout had originally been scheduled to take place at welterweight, but Markham weighed in at 177lbs, forcing the fight to be set at a catchweight instead.
Despite being significantly lighter Diaz quickly blasted through Markham, showing more snap in his punches than had been present in his prior bouts at 155lbs.
Diaz is now set for his first official welterweight fight with Marcus Davis at UFC 118 on August 28th.
