In a shock turn of events, Nate Marquardt has been forced to pull out of tomorrow night’s UFC On Versus 4 main event after failing a pre-fight physical test.

Confirmation came as the weigh-ins for the event got underway tonight in Pittsburgh just 24 hours before the event was due to begin.

In a quick shuffle of the pack the UFC have now moved the heavyweight encounter between Pat Barry and Cheick Kongo to the main event, while Marquardt’s original opponent in the headline slot Rick Story will now take on Charlie Brenneman who himself had fallen victim to a late call-off earlier in the week when his scheduled opponent TJ Grant pulled out due to injury.

The event had been one of a number of recent and upcoming UFC shows that have fallen foul to injuries. The original main event had been expected to feature Marquardt Vs Anthony Johnson, but ‘Rumble’ also had to pull out after suffering an injury in training.
