Jon Jones was interviewed on the ‘UFC Tonight’ show this week and thankfully he had a little more to say this time compared with his live Octagon-side chat alongside Chael Sonnen during the ‘TUF 17 Finale’ last weekend where he barely said a word!
For the most part Jones was being the nice guy here – saying that he still roots for his former Jacksons MMA teammates Rashad Evans and Melvin Guillard and talking enthusiastically about his new line of clothing from Nike which will be coming out soon, but he did stir the pot a little with some controversial comments regarding his upcoming opponent at UFC 159.
“People know that Chael Sonnen has done steroids throughout his whole career and that’s probably why his testosterone is low now,” Jones said. “I don’t think that is the heart or the attitude of a champion, so that’s what I meant when I said he lacks champion’s soul.”
