Unsurprisingly it seems that Strikeforce’s bad boy Nick Diaz, who was at the center of last weekend’s brawl in Nashville, now wants the opportunity to fight Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller.

As it stands Diaz is set to face Japanese legend Mach Sakurai in DREAM next month, but after that the fighter tells Cagewriter that he’s in no doubt about which opponent on the Strikeforce roster he has in his sights.

“I want to fight Jason, but I’m not going to talk sh*t on him, but if I was, I’d call him a little bitch, but I don’t really talk sh*t. That’s the only fight I want to talk about. Whoever they put in front of me, of course I’m going to fight them. I’m not afraid of anyone.”

In the aftermath of the live CBS event last Saturday night Mayhem appeared to be up for a fight with any of those involved – provided it was a one-on-one professional regulated bout as opposed to a free-for-all brawl – adding, “I’m a fighter, that’s what I do.”

If it was to be arranged then this is a bout that’s sure to be very marketable for the promotion under the circumstances, and it’s a scrap that I must admit I’d be interested to see – perhaps more so at this stage than a Shields Vs Miller rematch since I don’t think Mayhem has earned the right to another title shot just yet.
